This is a live, interactive online class. To participate, you will need a device connected to the internet and all the supplies listed below.


In this class, we will learn how to create this fun Independence Day cookie set.


To speed up the drying process during class, I use a dehydrator. If you don't have one, you can set your cookies in front of a fan or use the lowest setting of your oven.

Supply list:

  • Honey gingerbread cookies, 4 four inch squares, flooded white and a lot of bare star cookies
  • Royal icing  We will need thick piping consistency white, red and blue. We will talk about consistencies during class. We will dilute these further during the class to obtain other consistencies needed for the project. Royal icing mix is available in my store, it only needs water added. 
  • Piping bags (or sandwich bag), tips #103 and #2 (3 each)
  • 3 small bowls
  • Paintbrush (small flat)
  • Edible beads, white, 4 mm and 1 mm size
  • sanding sugar
  • 3 inch round cutter or a 3 inch round paper template
  • Some toothpicks
  • Paper towel
